Heart disease: the case for early detection

While early screening for underlying disease has been promoted by health systems for some time, in-depth cardiac health screening remains largely untouched except for some localised private care segments.

Clinicians are calling for a focus on an affordable and accessible option for treating patients with early coronary artery disease, not symptomatic late disease. With the advancement of AI-enabled technology providing meaningful patient insights at speed, this technology has the potential to decrease the cost of reviewing and reporting coronary computed tomography angiograms, which may provide a cost-effective model for detailed earlier detection.
