Dr James C. Bonnette

An international strategic advisor, Dr James C. Bonette has worked in every area of US healthcare, including private practice health maintenance organizations, hospital chains and pharmaceuticals. He was responsible for the creation and development of the first global GPO between Ascension, Ramsay Health and Amazon in 2017.

He shares his lessons learned from the U.S. healthcare system with organizations and governments in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Southeast Asia, including a lecture and discussion forum at the 2014 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

An industry leader in the provider marketplace driving innovation in care delivery and transformative payment models, Dr Bonette focuses on the strategic transformation of healthcare delivery systems, fee for value, and health reform. He was also a practicing internist for 20 years in California, known for his innovation and tenacity in creating new models of care delivery. Dr Bonette joined The Advisory Board in May 2014 coming from the CMO position at Oliver Wyman, where he was head of the Global Provider Strategic Consulting Practice. Dr Bonette has a BS in biochemistry from Portland State, an MD from the University of Oregon and further training in Pharmacoeconomics.
